Guide to a Green and Ethical Wedding

Many couples now choose to have Weddings that minimise the impact on the environment and only use ethically sound products and services.

"How to Get Married in Green" is a comprehensive guide to the issues involved and options available for those wanting a "Green Wedding".

Better still, I'm included in the Wedding Photography chapter :-)

Of all the Weddings I've Photographed, I can only remember two where Brides have made a Planned Speech. (There have been a couple others with unplanned post-Champagne speeches, which weren't as bad as they sound).

Guest Blog - Can you afford not to have a video?

This blog is by Professional Wedding Videographer Jay Blake of Special Memories and describes why the extra cost should not put you off having a Wedding DVD in addition to Wedding photos.

I have worked with Jay and am happy to recommend his services.

When shouldn’t you take photos at a Wedding – Tips for guests

Since the advent of digital cameras, many guests now bring cameras to Weddings. It is very easy to cause disruption to the Wedding, to the Professional Wedding Photographer, and even to break the law.

So when should guests be careful about taking photos?

Have you considered a Winter Wedding?

Many couples are now choosing to have their Weddings outside the traditional Summer/Autumn season. Having photographed many Winter Weddings in Berkshire and neighbouring counties, the main benefits of a Winter Wedding appear to be:
-	they often cost less – if it is a t a quiet time of year your venue may charge considerably less than during the summer. The exception to this is during December when venues are targetting Christmas Functions.
-	Guests are unlikely to be on holiday which is always an issue in the summer
-	A Wedding near Christmas, or Valentines Day can be even more romantic than a Summer Wedding
-	Having a “Honeymoon in the Sun” is even nicer when it’s cold at home

Can a single male think like a Bride?

I haven’t been electrocuted like Mel Gibson in <link=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Women_Want >What Women Want </link> so I can’t read the minds of normal women, let alone Brides.

But as an experienced Wedding Photographer in Reading, I am getting better all the time at understanding Brides and doing what I can to help alleviate worries on their Wedding Day.

Ten Tips to save money on your Wedding - Tips 6 to 10

It depends where you read it, but the average cost of a Wedding is typically estimated to be anywhere between £17,000 and £21,000. That’s a lot of money given how worried many people are about the economy.

As a Wedding Photographer in Berkshire, I haven’t noticed any reduction in enquiries or bookings, but I have noticed several ways couples are saving money. I thought it would be helpful to share these with you, as well as links to three sites with other suggestions on how to reduce costs.

Why should we use a Professional Wedding Photographer in Berkshire?

If you need to cut costs on your Wedding Day, your Wedding Photography should not be the cost that is cut. Marriage is for life, and you want your Wedding Memories to be for life as well.
